Ty Flowers is a NYC-based editor and producer specializing in documentary film, non-fiction television, and journalistic storytelling. Over the past twenty years, he has edited award-winning feature documentaries, documentary series, broadcast television, and digital journalism for clients and networks including the BBC, National Geographic, A&E, History Channel, Science Channel, VICE, Fortune Magazine, Discovery, , Travel Channel, and many more.
His work ranges from feature-length documentaries to investigative and impactful short-form nonfiction, with an emphasis on shaping complex stories into emotionally engaging narratives. In addition to editing, he has worked as a producer, cinematographer, and animator, giving him a broad understanding of the documentary production process from development through post-production.
His first feature documentary Time Simply Passes won awards internationally at festivals including the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival and Tallgrass Film Festival before receiving worldwide digital distribution. The film was widely praised for its examination of wrongful incarceration and helped bring renewed attention to Florida's compensation laws.
